The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), released it’s annual report (2015) on the state of religious freedom in the world. The chapter on Sri Lanka looks at the situation of religious freedom in the year 2014, raising concerns on violence against religious minorities, discrimination in public schools and intolerant propaganda among others. While commending the newly elected government for the steps it has taken to improve the climate for religious freedom in the country, it sites recommendations that can further improve the situation.
